Position Summary The Plastic Surgeon will meet with patients then develop customized treatment plans to provide safe, high quality cosmetic surgery. They will have the opportunity to perform all aspects of cosmetic surgery. |
Essential Duties
· Have excellent bedside manner to build strong bonds with patients, consult with patients to evaluate candidacy for their procedure, develop a customized treatment plan, educate patients on the risks, benefits, and alternatives of their surgery, and follow up with patients after surgery including seeing them at their postop visits · Have excellent surgical skills to safely perform various cosmetic surgery procedures such as: Brazilian Butt Lift; Mommy Makeover; Breast Augmentation; Breast Lift; Tummy Tuck; Liposuction; Body Contouring After Massive Weight Loss; Facelift; Blepharoplasty; Rhinoplasty; Facial Fat Transfer; Breast Fat Transfer; and Vaginal Rejuvenation · Sets high expectations for themselves in terms of patient safety and high quality results · Thrives in a team environment with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, their family, and members of our surgery center, med spa, and administrative teams · Maintain confidentiality of all patient information according to federal guidelines and regulations · Complete all mandatory training · Follow all state, federal and/or local health and safety rules, laws, and regulations · *Additional job duties as assigned

Education and Experience · Medical or osteopathic degree · Successful completion an ACGME accredited plastic surgery residency training program · Board eligible/certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery · Hold or have the ability to obtain the appropriate medical licenses in the state of Michigan · Cosmetic surgery fellowship training and/or multi-year experience in cosmetic surgery practice · Evidence of excellence in clinical care is expected |

Ability to direct the activities of the staff and manage the personnel. Ability to focus on patient safety, teamwork, patient outcomes, patient experience and quality improvement. Demonstrates compassion, empathy, and professionalism. Strong attention to detail. · Knowledge: Working knowledge and experience in ambulatory surgery environment, preferably operating room, including direct patient care. Ability to adhere to work schedule and manage time appropriately. Ability to effectively manage the activities and personnel in the facility. Knowledge of current plastic surgery matters relating to healthcare. Knowledgeable on sanitary and safety standards. Ability to utilize resources in an organized and effective manner. · Machines, Equipment, Work Aides: Experience with standard operating room supplies and equipment. Basic technological proficiency with electronic medical record. Technical expertise – knowledgeable on various procedures in cosmetic surgery. |
Physical/Sensory Requirements · Ability to be active and on your feet throughout the day · Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (to help assist with patients) · Corrected hearing and vision to normal range · Full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity, and hand-eye coordination |
Work Environment · Ambulatory surgery environment with bright lighting and average noise level · Office environment with bright lighting and average noise level · Subject to exposure to infectious waste, communicable diseases, conditions, bodily fluids, etc. · Subject to handling of and exposure to biohazardous chemicals/waste |
